Georgia in 2002

What a great dog. Georgia was a pleasure from the day she was born.

She was from our first and to date only litter of Clumber Spaniels
She won well as a puppy and thirlled us by gaining her GB title.

She won her first 2 CC’s under breed specialists Hilda Monaghan (Tweedsmuir) and AndyShaw (Greencourt), her 3rd and crowning CC at SKC under Gundog Specialist Valerie Foss and a week later took another CC under all rounder Terry Thorn.

With Georgia we were inspired to do other things and enjoyed regular obedience classes. Georgia quickly gained her Bronze good dog citizen award and would later go on to achieve both silver and gold.
We also did agility and she even won a novice agility class at our local club!
She loved showing and I loved being with her so off we travelled. With the introduction of the Pet Passport scheme we headed to Europe were we were welcomed and have made some lasting freindships.
Georgia was the only UK owned and bred dog to travel to the World Show in Amsterdam in 2002 and took the RCAC & RCACIB. This was the start and Georgia went on to gain her Dutch title in style and make history along the way. She took Best of Breed then went on to win the Group. The first Clumber bitch to do so in Holland.
It was to prove quite a year as in Ireland on the Munster Circuit she would take Best of Breed at the 4 shows and at Tralee took the Group and became the first Clumber bitch to win a Group in Ireland.
In her later years Georgia enjoyed her days pottering around the garden, being clambered over by Dachshunds, sleeping on the sofa and of course the highlight of her day was always is food!

Sadly we had to let her go to the Rainbow Bridge in August 2010 – aged 11.

A special dog and dear friend.  Run free Sweet Pea!
